Tamaki Sakurai has hit it off with Remi and the two of them are dating. However, Remi is increasingly hard to reach in between meetups. Tamaki continues to struggle deeply with isolation while something nefarious is feasting on all the negativity.
This comic was originally created for a rejected submission and will be an extra minicomic that will be enclosed with Cold Hands, Cold Heart #3.
Cold Hands, Cold Heart is the first story in the Infernally Employed series, which is based on the Japanese folklore tale Momotaro. In the city of Cosmopolis, it doesn’t matter if you’re animal or human—Big Tech is behind the wheel, ready to bulldoze anything that stands in their way of profit.
Cold Hands, Cold Heart Issue #3 and Meat Cute are slated for simultaneous release in September 2026. Meat Cute will be a risograph comic zine (4 pages) that will be printed, bound and cut by Mariko Abe at Punch Kiss Press in Los Angeles, CA.
